About the book:

How do you solve an unsolvable case when the culprit isn’t even human?

After a monster brutally kills her parents, Ara dives head first into the unknown world of beasthunters. Serums, secret bestiary knowledge, remarkable abilities — all to save unsuspecting souls from the same fate her parents suffered. Different creatures lurk in every forest, village and city, from trollmen and varghauls to gorewings and ruras. In her first case, corpses pile up faster than she can dig up clues, with more and more people turning into mindless murderers in broad daylight. Ara must learn quickly if she is to uncover the elusive beast plaguing the village of Cornstead.

Superstitious villagers — on the brink of panic — need an explanation for the inexplicable circumstances, and Ara and the beasthunter mentors are blamed. Her will is at breaking point trying to save the people condemning her to death, and the beast cloaks itself in the chaos that ensues. Ara has to overcome her weaknesses to save the village and the beasthunters, who are becoming more like a new family.

Willbreaker is the first book in the gripping Adult Fantasy series: The Beasthunter of Ashbourn. Orphan to beasthunter apprentice. How far can her strength stretch, before surrendering to the world’s brutal monsters?

About the author:

C.A. Lende lives in Norway, living like the Vikings of Old: in front of his computer gaming or writing books.

He's from Sandnes, which Norwegians call a city, but people from actual cities would call a town. He's always been an active person, from football(soccer), karate, scouts, playing in a band, rugby, gymnastics, parkour, but sooner realized he'd never be the best, so now he's writing.

He begun writing as a joke, when him and two friends decided to write "Game of Thrones"-like stories about ourself, screwing with each other. He was the only one who did, and that's where he begun.

Now he writes every day, either his own stories, or together with a Norwegian producer on movies and tv-shows.
