Robert Dowell has genius in his blood – he is a descendant of Sir Isaac Newton. He has been fascinated by science fiction and the wonders and dangers of technology since he was a child and takes his inspiration from mid-20th-century writers such as Eric Frank Russell, Robert Silverberg and Robert A. Heinlein. He has worked in the IT industry for more than twenty years and has recently set up his own photographic and design company. The Lazarus Principle is the first fruit of a long-held ambition to create a fully realized science-fiction world that explores his thoughts and beliefs about technology, humanity and God.
