Sam Jones’ holidays with his Granny Merryweather are boring. All she does is bake cakes and help out at the cattery. Until, that is, Gran gets a cry for help from her old village. Something very bad is happening. Something that only Mother Merryweather can sort out. But Gran falls victim to a tainted custard tart and Sam finds himself facing an ancient and vengeful enemy with just some cherry bakewells, a dog and a cat for company. He needs to be braver and cleverer than he’s ever been before to save Gran and the rest of the village from a terrible fate.
