In the aftermath of the Volcaron invasion of their country, the defeated people of Hohala remain helpless and lost in the wilderness. Persecuted and broken, the Hohalian survivors begin to abandon all expectation for their deliverance — that is, until far away events prompt the return of a stranger and a flicker of hope for Hohala’s liberation.
