Toby Bennet is tagged, bagged, and dumped in the lobby of Preser Tech, a faithfully reproduced office building where aliens come to find humans in their natural work environment. Refusing to spend the rest of his life in a zoo, Toby scours for a way out.
He soon finds a young woman named Clarice who is willing to help, but her sanity is long gone. Worse, every time Toby tries to pump her for info, she tries to get into his pants. That wouldn't be too bad if her idea of foreplay wasn't to cut out her lover's eyes. Now it's up to Toby to find a way to satisfy her psychotic urges and pry her secrets without going on disability if he's ever going to have a shot at getting home alive and in one piece.
Office Preserves is a healthy serving of Max Barry’s “Company” and Richard Connell’s “The Most Dangerous Game” put in a blender that’s been set to frappe and garnished with Douglas Adams.
In his own words:
"A few moons ago, I was born in Oregon, but soon ended up in Florida and have lived there ever since. I’ve done a lot of things over the years, played piano (since 1st grade), joined the Marine Corps, jumped out of a few airplanes and taught others how to do the same. I’ve always been an avid gamer as well, and I enjoy taking pictures of the cosmos with my telescopes. I’m currently living somewhere in Southwest Florida where I wrangle four children along with the Mrs, and manage to pay the bills as a chaplain for a local hospice."
