The Hybrid Prince
Wings of Fire #16
by Tui T. Sutherland
The #1 New York Times bestselling series is back with a brand new arc! Discover what happens next in this thrilling addition to the Wings of Fire saga.

Umber was never supposed to be a hero . . . .

As the youngest sibling of his MudWing hatching, Umber doesn't have the responsibilities of his bigwings, Reed, nor the heroic destiny prophesied for his brother, Clay. He's always been content with his role as the cheerful, goofy, little brother. I have an idea. It’s about a tribe that I made up. I call this tribe, the Gold wings. They have huge, heavy, golden talons, that can rip almost anything to shreds. They live underground in vast cities of gold beneath an ordinary looking island in between Pyyrahhia and Pantala. They have huge armored golden bodies and I know this might sound crazy, but they breathe lava

I like it overall. But I think breathing lava is a little too intense. But like how MudWings have the rare blood red egg, and the SkyWings have Firescale dragons, the GoldWings could have rare dragons with the ability to change certain minerals into gold.

What if it is a whole civilization with multiple different tribes like steelwings, goldwings and diamondwings. Diamonds being the strongest and steel being the weakest. Steel could get stronger by eating metal and gold could get stronger by eating gold and diamond could get stronger by eating diamonds. They could all live in peace because diamond trying to rule them both is too similar to wasp. Just a thought though.

What if there was a secret tribe that was stranded in other islands but not in between Pyrrha and Pantala and they were dying because they were not in the right conditions for living. They also don’t know about the other tribes so the 16th book would be about discovering the hidden tribe.(possibly Goldwings or Lavawings I think that tui should add Razorwings, they would be fast and agile with sharp wings for hunting and fighting. Maybe they are stuck on frozen land and that’s why there dying probably around the ice wings but to far to see from pantala.

What if there is a secret lever behind the throne from flames of hope and it somehow rises a new continent with 3-4 new tribes. Ideas could be Mineralwings, Razorwings, Weatherwings, Beastwings, and even more.

The thing with razorwings, there's already a razorwing in How to Train Your Dragon, and we don't need copyright issues.

And again, there's still fan-made books. I would love to see these published, but we can't just give Tui list upon list of ideas and expect her to make every single one.

I think there Should be a tribe called SpaceWings, who live on the moons, and can Teleport, and don’t need to flap their wings (I don’t know if they should have wings),to fly.

Maybe they could be five types of dragons below

Brasswings: Huge wings, Breath small queches of fire, excellent craftsmen

Copperwings: Tails have a sharp needle at the end, breathes huge, roaring flames, and excellent masonaries

BronzeWings: Breathe underwater, Can shoot acid, and excellent stragitist

Silverwings. Shoots a beam of light, unnaturally sharp claws, and very loyal to friends and family

Goldwings: Shoot bolts of lighting, hard to hurt, and eats gold and other metals to survive

I think that the 4th arc books should be about Tau, Kinkajou, Smolder, Silverspot, and Tamarin. I also have have some FanWing tribes you guys might like that I made up:

LightWings: Description: yellow, orange, pink, or gold scales and yellow or pink eyes; they have no wings but the transparent, sparkly wings appear when he/she are full grown
Skills: can absorb light from the sun then dissolve into the air to go to a different place; attract other dragons with their shiny scales
Queen: Queen Celeste

CloudWings: Description: white and gray; black scales on the undersides of their colossal wings; kind of fluffy scales; eyes are any shade of yellow, blue, or red
Abilities: can control the weather; can stand on clouds
Queen: Queen Lumi

HueWings: Description: sparkly silver scales; cyan or lavender eyes
Abilities: A limited few can create gems, called jewelcontrol, much like leafspeak or flamesilk; skilled hunters
Queen: Queen Opal

CrystalWings: Description: like the RainWings, HueWings can change the color of their scales
Abilities: very fast; the best fighters in Jadus; can blind other dragons with their too-bright scales
Queen: Queen Fuschia

MossWings: Description: many shades of green for their scales; their underscales are any shade of brown
Abilities: they are able to form moss; can hold their breath for short periods of time
Queen: Queen Clover

Thanks for reading!

I think it would be interesting if once wasp is gone that they start a school in the hivewing king for dragons that are hybrids so we can get into more details about other dragons back grounds and so we can see hybrids being more accepted into this time line

I had an idea of a type of dragon called the smokewings.

Description
The smokewings are muscular  with bodies resembling polished obsidian, shimmering with shades of deep gray and black. They possess large, majestic wings made of a crystal-like material, with a smoky translucence that enhances their ethereal appearance. Their sharp, elegant features and glowing ember-like eyes exude strength and grace, making them formidable beings in their mystical realm.
Abilities
  1. Smoke Manipulation: The dragons can create and control smoke for stealth, camouflage, and forming barriers.
  2. Invisibility: By enveloping themselves in dense smoke, they can become nearly invisible to predators and prey alike.
  3. Breath of Mist: They can release a disorienting cloud of mist to obscure visibility and confuse foes.
  4. Illusions: Some smoke dragons are rumored to possess the ability to create breathtaking illusions, although this power is rare and not universally acknowledged.
  5. Enhanced Agility: Their streamlined bodies allow for quick, agile movements in flight.

Queen
Mistara is the revered queen of the smokewings, known for her elegance and strength. While she is a master of her abilities, the rumors of illusion-making circulate throughout the dragon community, adding an air of mystery and intrigue to her reign.

I have this idea where Moon gets swept away in a blizzard and goes missing in the ocean who then discovers an endangered dragon tribe called StreamWings who are like SeaWings but have light antenas. She basically becomes a pirate who looks for treasure and has befriended the StreamWings. She later finds she is expecting an egg and remembers Qibli and once again tries to look for Phyria
