Cloven Hooves
A REMARKABLE TALE OF THE FANTASTIC IN EVERYDAY LIFE.
ONE OF THE MOST ORIGINAL FANTASIES YOU WILL EVER READ.
Growing up unwanted and untamed in Alaska's wild country, Evelyn found refuge in the depths of the forest. She didn't fit in with the other girls – all they could talk about was boys and clothes.
But out in the forest, an escape from isolation, she could spend time with her only true friend: a young faun – half boy, half satyr – called Pan.
Maturity brings unexpected happiness: a husband and a son. But this short trip into normality comes to a shattering end; and Evelyn's real journey begins – away from the mundanities of shopping malls and frilled toilet-rolls, away from appalling parents-in-law and the claustrophobia of their pedantic lives – out into the wilderness with the wildest creature in the world.
