Jakob Tanner

Jakob Tanner, the author behind Arcane Kingdom Online, Tower Climber, and Second Chance Swordsman, is a storyteller whose worlds are forged in the fires of video games, anime, and classic fantasy. Born in Toronto, Canada, Jakob's love for immersive, expansive storytelling started early, shaped by his experiences with MMORPGs, the Final Fantasy series, and epic anime like Full Metal Alchemist. These passions blend effortlessly into his writing, where video game mechanics meet high-stakes adventure, creating stories that capture the excitement of a battle for survival and the nuances of personal growth in virtual realms.

Jakob's journey into writing began after he graduated with a degree in English Literature from the University of Toronto, where his understanding of storytelling and character development deepened. He later moved to the UK, balancing life as a writer with his job at a bookstore—an environment where stories thrive and creativity flourishes. It's from this intersection of real life and virtual worlds that his LitRPG novels are born, each one drawing readers into worlds filled with magic, strategy, and danger.

In his books, Jakob weaves together the thrill of leveling up and the complexity of meaningful relationships, making his work a go-to for fans of the LitRPG genre. Whether it's a deep dive into an MMORPG or a second chance at redemption, his stories resonate with readers who crave both the excitement of virtual combat and the quiet moments of character introspection.

Outside of writing, Jakob’s life is equally full of adventure. When he's not creating new worlds, he's enjoying board games, indulging in anime marathons, or trying out new recipes in the kitchen. He stays connected with his growing fanbase through social media and his website, always eager to share the latest updates and engage with his readers.

Jakob Tanner’s books are more than just a series of adventures—they’re gateways to other worlds, where anything is possible, and every turn brings new challenges and revelations. For those who are drawn to high-stakes, immersive experiences, Jakob’s works offer a thrilling journey that never stops evolving.
