Sabine Baring-Gould

Sabine Baring-Gould, 1834 – 1924, of Lew Trenchard in Devon, England, was an Anglican priest and antiquarian, he is possibly best remembered as a hymn writer particularly "Onward, Christian Soldiers" however he was also the author of a number of Supernatural stories which were very popular at the time.
