Raven Dane

Raven Dane lives in Buckinghamshire with her husband and ten year old son.

She spends her life juggling many contrasts. Born into an emotive and lively Celtic family of mixed Irish and Welsh blood, she has lived most of her life in rather more reserved Anglo-Saxon England. She struggles with being a good wife and mother of a young son by day and writing dark tales of beautiful but amoral blood drinkers by night.

Raven's career background has been very varied; she has worked as a journalist, a shop worker and trainer to a stable full of film and stunt horses. Her hobbies include avid cinema going, reading and horses. The compulsion to write has been with Raven since she was a small child, and she recently gave up full time work to become a possessed scribbler!

Raven's earliest childhood memories of Kilkenny City in Eire with its medieval narrow winding streets, ruined battlements and imposing castle have been an important influence on her writing.
