A Man Obsessed is also known as The Mercy Men (revised edition, 1968).
"A Man Obsessed" is the story of a vengeance hunt in a nightmarish future when all medical practice is firmly in the control of the Government. It's both a psychological tale of a man deteriorating fromthe effects of dedicating his life to a (perhaps) foolish pursuit of one man, and a not-so-pretty look at the ultimate results of a socialized medicine policy.
