The chilling inscription on the old rebel Captain's crypt in the cemetery on their property should have warned them away. Nevertheless, they’re committed to the cause of refurbishing the old home, especially in the wake of Max’s nervous breakdown, which drove them into the backwoods to seek a quieter life.
