Lost in Translation
Transfer Student
Allie is a product of the nineties, a child of a rich but dysfunctional family who has turned to grunge music for entertainment and the counterculture for solace. Finally, though, her father decides he's going to get something for all the money he's been laying out on her college education, and informs his daughter that she will be transferring from UC Vista View to a good old-fashioned college in France, where they will civilise her. But Allie's California dreaming may have prepared her better than anyone realizes for what lies ahead. Because on her way to France, her journey intersects the experiments performed by an amoral wizard in another reality, and Allie arrives very, very far from her intended destination.
What happens next gives new meaning to the phrases "Transfer student," and "Publish or Perish."
