Crime fiction

Crime fiction, also known as detective or mystery fiction, is a genre of literature that focuses on the investigation of a crime, usually a murder or other serious offense, and the subsequent solving of the mystery. Crime fiction often features a protagonist who is a detective, private investigator, or amateur sleuth, who must gather clues, interview witnesses, and piece together the evidence to identify the perpetrator and bring them to justice.
