The Sixth Faction is a young adult dystopian series by Veronica Roth that returns to the world of Divergent, but follows a radically different path through its familiar faction-divided Chicago. Five factions still promise five distinct futures, and every young person must still decide where they belong. But when tragedy disrupts Tris's Choosing Ceremony, the decision that once defined her life is thrown into chaos. The consequences pull her toward an underground rebellion and into the orbit of a mysterious boy known only by a number, reshaping relationships, loyalties, and conflicts that may feel familiar while leading them somewhere entirely new.

Built as an alternate take on the Divergent universe, the duology explores identity, choice, courage, family, and resistance from a fresh angle.
