A.K. DuBoff

A. K. DuBoff writes with one eye on the stars and the other fixed firmly on the human condition. Her science fiction is not only about faster-than-light ships and galactic empires, it is also about people navigating loyalty, ambition, and identity in the shadow of cosmic wonder.
Raised in the Pacific Northwest after an early childhood in San Diego, she grew up surrounded by books and music, where science fiction classics like Dune and Ender’s Game left an indelible mark. Even in high school she began sketching the outlines of what would later become the Cadicle universe, a sprawling space opera that would go on to anchor her career.
Her path to authorship was not a straight line. After earning a degree in psychology with minors in writing and business, she spent years in business development and consulting before returning to the passion that never left her: storytelling. In 2015 she released Architects of Destiny, the first book of the Cadicle Saga, and within two years she had stepped fully into the life of a professional author.
