Antony Innis Travers

Among other things, Antony Innis Travers has been an environmental activist and seaman who pursued both callings in combination, from Norway's North Cape to Japan, through the Panama Canal and around Cape Horn. His wanderings had begun long before, however, after a personal disagreement with the federal government led to several expatriate years in Europe... then eventually across the Sahara into Africa, through the Khyber Pass toward India and Nepal... and somewhat beyond. Ecological threats so far-flung have left him with abiding concerns, and dealing with such diverse cultures has lent him a certain alien perspective on the one he happens to be in.

For much of his life, traveling would be the most accurate description of his primary occupation, with other endeavors simply providing the means.
