Fire has come to Bricus. The Earl of Marrin, once a friend to aquemancers has fallen under the sway of a powerful pyromancer and his lethal fireflies. Soon both Laura and Darius are deeply involved in the city's struggles, but on opposite sides. When fire meets water, only one can survive.
