Christmas at the Cole household comes to a devastating end when it is discovered that Ben had been infected by the lampir plague. In a desperate race against time, he, Jack and Emily journey to Poland, to find a doctor who is rumoured to have developed an antidote. But, in Poland they find their troubles have only just begun. For the country is in the grip of a lampir epidemic of monstrous proportions... and this time it seems there can be no cure...
