Eve: Her Story

Eve, the original innocent, ate the fruit from the tree of knowledge because she was weak and disobedient according to the book of Genesis. Here, in her own version of events, she does not fall but eats the fruit because she must; because she wants to. Rejecting, with difficulty, the eternal life offered by the apple tree, she chooses instead to devour the forbidden fig the knowledge – and experience – of both birth and death.
