Something horrible is happening to Johnny.

He snaps at his dear friend Professor Childermass. He says odd things to his best friend, Fergie. He walks in his sleep and hears strange voices. And then Johnny Dixon suddenly collapses into a weird sleep with an ugly sneer upon his lips.

Professor Childermass soon learns the terrifying truth – poor Johnny is the victim of the evil spirit of despicable and dead Warren Windrow. Somehow, the spell has to be broken – before it's too late. The professor and Fergie race to the town of Van Twiller, and to the frightening old Windrow estate. But dark demonic forces are waiting.
