The lifetimes of 12 vastly different wizards have been devoted to one objective: Find the long-lost talisman of the great Iron Mage. When he died, he left behind an object that is the focus of all his unearthly powers. No one knows what it is. No one knows where it is. The wizards' slow, methodical search is hidden behind the actions of the greedy Lord Duarin. Usurper of the throne, Duarin is unaware of their true intentions.
