Mrs Merryandrew is worried about her son Monty, who keeps on playing with a ghost, so she sends him to Brinsley Codd School for Sensible Thought, to get all ideas of ghosts out of his head. But the school is haunted too, by its founder, Brinsley Codd, the most sensible person in history.
