Ring-Rise Ring-Set
In a world in which a new ice age is slowly and inexorably creeping southward from the pole, there seems little for Liza and the other women of the scientific settlement to do but boring household chores, while the men travel out on the ice in search of an answer to the problem: how to stop the ice before it overwhelms the planet? Longing for excitement, Liza decides to stow away on the next expedition, but her plans go awry and she finds herself in mortal danger, until she is rescued by an Eko. Is it a rescue? Or is she in a worse situation than back at the settlement?
