The Crystal Drop

The prairies are drought-stricken, the towns closed down, the farms abandoned. What can Megan and Ian do when their mother dies? There is little to eat and water is difficult to find. Their only hope is to walk from their farm towards the mountains, for somewhere out there is their Uncle Greg. Their journey is an obstacle race; crazy survivalists, quicksand, thirst, and their own fears and weaknesses impede them in their struggle to reach their goal.
