Shadow Walker
Winter descends on the town of Magellan, and new evil comes to call. A
new county inspector declares Janet's hotel a safety hazard and gives
her one week to bring everything up to code, but no matter how hard
Janet and her friends work, everything is deteriorated again in the
morning. At the same time, Mick is behaving strangely, and the magic
mirror, Janet's grandmother, and Elena the crazy cook declare that he's
"shadow touched."
Janet needs to figure out what that means and
how to help him, at the same time keep Gabrielle from snaring Nash
Jones. Even the dragons are no help, and Janet's grandmother seems to
have submitted Coyote to her will and sent him off on some unknown
quest.
Mick tells Janet that the next time she sees him, she needs to
run; and Janet then discovers what a terrible, deadly enemy she would
have if Mick turned against her.

Allyson James
Allyson James is a pseudonym of romance writer Jennifer Ashley. Allyson dreamed of being a published writer since the age of eight, writing love stories before she knew what romances were. She wrote fantasy and science fiction while in college, and after obtaining her master's degree and a job in the real world, she decided to stop dreaming and try to be a full-time published author.
She published the first short story she ever submitted in Marion Zimmer Bradley's Fantasy Magazine, which gave her the false illusion that getting published was easy. After many more submissions and rejections, she sold her first novel to Dorchester in 2002, and made her second sale to Berkley with a series of historical mysteries. She continues to write for Dorchester under the name Jennifer Ashley.
