Kathryn Smith is an American author, living in Ottawa, Ontario. She decided that she wanted to be a romance writer when she was 10 years old. She started writing her own novels soon after. She toyed with other genres (she loved horror and fantasy) and poetry, but always came back to romance. These days, she's able to combine her love of romance with her fascination for the paranormal. Her first book was published in 2001 through Avon Romance. Since then she has published over a dozen books and made the jump from straight historical romance to paranormal historical romance.
