Accompanied by Damion, Loreiyn, and a host of Arainian fighters, Jomar returns to the world of Mera to free his people from the evil tyrant Khalazar, who is a pawn for the Dark Prince. But the armies of the enemy are more numerous than they had imagined. Meanwhile on Arainja, Ailia struggles to come to terms with her destiny as the Tryna Lia, the long prophesied ruler of the Empire. She knows that her path is to lead her armies to defend the free worlds against the Dragon Prince Mandrake, but Ailia is racked with self-doubt.
