Last Resort

Beluga Stein wears loud muumuus, smokes pastel cigarettes, and is a hit-or-miss psychic on perpetual sabbatical from a small North Georgia college where she is a professor of biology. She never travels without her familiar, a black cat named Planchette, who happens to be a far more gifted psychic. An ill-conceived birthday gift from her best friend Tanya lands Beluga and Planchette at the opening of a luxurious new resort and spa in the North Georgia mountains, Pursuit of Health. Opposed to healthy pursuits of any kind, Beluga is ready to leave when a dead body surfaces in the mud baths. After witnessing an inquest, a shady murder investigation and several supernatural manifestations, Beluga and Planchette launch their own investigation. This is the first Beluga Stein Supernatural Mystery Novel of the series.
