The Raising

Mike Van Gremor, paranormal journalist, has just lost the most important thing in his life. His wife, Theresa. Plagued by her memory, he throws himself into a new assignment. New York's Hudson Valley has been experiencing a higher than average rate of 'accidental' deaths. Sent by his friend and editor, Dan Marshall, his job is to investigate a small town seemingly key to these tragedies.

It is here, Mike meets an attractive brunette by the name of Charlotte. The community idolizes the woman; laying tribute to her family who settled the small village. Mike soon finds himself also being swayed by her charms. Only guilt for the woman he dearly loved keeps the reporter from stepping over the edge.

But there's more than that. With each new death, Mike slowly begins to uncover the truth. That he, unknowingly, has caused these events to unfold. And that he, one man, will be the final piece in mankind's fall or deliverance.
