THE FINAL SOOKIE STACKHOUSE NOVEL

There are secrets in the town of Bon Temps, ones that threaten those closest to Sookie — and could destroy her heart...

Sookie Stackhouse finds it easy to turn down the request of former barmaid Arlene when she wants her job back at Merlotte’s. After all, Arlene tried to have Sookie killed. But her relationship with Eric Northman is not so clearcut. He and his vampires are keeping their distance... and a cold silence. And when Sookie learns the reason why, she is devastated.

Then a shocking murder rocks Bon Temps, and Sookie is arrested for the crime.

But the evidence against Sookie is weak, and she makes bail. Investigating the killing, she’ll learn that what passes for truth in Bon Temps is only a convenient lie. What passes for justice is more spilled blood. And what passes for love is never enough...

What Risingshadow readers think about this book

3/10

I only read this because I've read all the previous books and wanted to finish the series. Blah blah blah blah is my honest opinion of this book. Harris brings like all the people that are still alive to make a cameo and then they go away and do nothing to the plot.

I really liked the first Sookie-books, but unfortunately as they got worse. I think I'll take the True Blood -series as canon from now on. Even if I don't know how they finish, it can't be worse than this.

5/10

I have read the books both in Finnish and English and honestly must I say, that the essence of the stories or better said, half of the "voice" is gone when translated.
Harris uses the southern voice when writing and and that gives the stories more plausibility and personality.
This is really easy but, satisfying entertainment.
