During the years D books have changed. When I first begun to read these novels D was silent and a bit grumby type of antihero. He rarely spoke and when he did, it was as little as possible. Now, on the 16th novel he's become more talkative, more social - and more colder. And the stories involve more and more side characters each time. I guess it's not a bad thing, from the story point of view, but occasionally I do miss the silent type lonely Hunter who has bizarre conversations with his left hand... Lucky for me the hand still is hilarious (and somewhat still a riddle)! ;)
