About the book

The Deception

KnorraSky is a novel series written by R.A. Knowlton. It is based on a fantasy world inspired by 14th century Western Europe.

The first book of the series is KnorraSky: The Deception.

The Deception covers a time period of five years. You will be introduced to King Noman, a man who has grown weary of war. He longs for peace, yet this yearning is elusive due to the endless hunger for war of his adversary, King Gerick of the Kree.

Within its 384 pages you will come to know King Noman; his strengths, his weaknesses, and his dark side that no man ever desires to be exposed.

You will meet Queen Raven, the Bow Warrior of Jeran. Raven is the wife of King Noman. She is a capable woman whose beauty is surpassed only by her morality.

You will also meet a myriad of other characters such as boisterous Symonious the Durrite, and the giant known as Avery. Heth, the youngest of the First Knights will humor you and Zakais the eldest will offer great wisdom. Roth, a mountain of a man has a kindness rarely seen, but don’t cross him for he is a seasoned veteran of many cycles of war.

Then there is Sheral, the evil Queen of the Kree. She thinks only of herself and her wickedness has no bounds.

There are far too many characters to mention all and each one is vibrantly portrayed within The Deception.

The land of KnorraSky is filled with strange creatures. Some are very dangerous like the Doragon, the snake dogs of the Kree. Others are loyal like Tellie, a pure-bred Ara-beta. Tellie is King Noman’s trustworthy horse and he can run at amazing speeds.  His breed is rare in all the lands and Tellie hold a secret that will amaze you!

The land of KnorraSky is over three thousand miles wide and you will journey with King Noman as he fights monsters and men and even the darkness within himself. You will feel his anguish and despair as he tries to find that which he has lost due to The Deception.

"R.A. Knowlton brings to his readers in this first novel an engaging and abundantly creative plot with lots of twists and turns along with realistic character development. Descriptive with depth and texture, the reader is drawn into the world of King Noman and KnorraSky. Not only has he given us a rich and engaging story he has interweaved it with brilliant allegory. The reader is left wanting more..." - Shanan Anderson, Amazon.com
