About the Book
This is the first collection of folk-stories the author ever put together, and they're connected by the clash between paganism and Christianity.
So there's the tale of the first Christian king of Norway, and the demon that haunts his palace lavvies...
There's the tale of a holy man meeting a Neckan, a waterspirit...
There are tales of house-spirits and land spirits...
And there's the tale of how St. Cullen hired a travelling carpenter to build his wooden church...
