Science and logic had always held the answers for Brody.  Things like witches, spirits, shape-shifters and truelove happening twice in one man’s life are the stuff fairytales are made of. But after finding Mahala alone and confused in the woods, he was beginning to think fairytales could come true. If only he could believe it and allow himself to live again.

Frozen in a preternatural prison in an attempt to escape a destiny her people perceived as hers, Mahala, The Shaman’s Daughter, is suddenly awakened to a time when all those she loved are gone. The only connection to the family she once knew is Calumet, her fiancé. But he stands imprisoned by the same preternatural power that had trapped her. From the moment she awakens, Mahala has but one objective, to free the unjustly imprisoned Calumet. Love and human contact are luxuries she can’t bring herself to enjoy. For Mahala there could only be her duty to family and tribe.

Brody must learn to accept the unexplainable, and Mahala must learn to trust her heart. Together they could save an ancient history, but loyalties and honor work to keep them apart. Set in the picturesque blue ridge mountains of North Carolina, this story tells of love of land, love of family and the love of a life time.
