The Book of Air

The Dragon Quartet #4 / 4
by Marjorie B. Kellogg
The Book of Air (The Dragon Quartet #4) by Marjorie B. Kellogg
Unrated

The summons had come down through the years, waking the dragons Earth and Water and their guardians Erde and N'Doch, luring them on a perilous journey to a future beyond their own. Arriving in a devastated America where the dragon Fire reigned in all his terrifying magnificence, and his dragon guide Paia had been transformed into his high priestess, the four found unexpected allies, rebels against Fire's tyrannical rule. With the aid of these rebels, the dragons and their guides not only survived Fire's devastating attack but won Paia's aid. And though they did not find the dragon Air, they did finally meet her guide.

Much to her surprise, Erde discovered that Air's guide was someone she had met in her own time, the being known as Gerrasch. Yet Gerrasch had been changed by the centuries through which he had lived, evolving from a strange and wild creature into a man who was a master of computer technology. Though Gerrasch didn't know where Air was, he was certain that they must find and free her as soon as possible. Yet Fire had threatened to strike at the loved ones Erde and N'Doch had left behind.

Could they solve the riddle of the missing Air, save their friends and families, and halt Fire's mad rampage before they and the world it was their destiny to guard were consumed by his fiery wrath?
