"The Invasion of the Tearling" continues the story of "Queen", and also follows part of the life of Lily Mayhew, right before the Crossing. Therefore, it wasn't only the story of the Tearling and Kelsea that gripped me, but the one in the past as well. After reading rather a lot about it in the first book, I was very curious as how it all worked, and I wasn't disappointed. Apart from that, there are also some interesting secrets that come out, especially at the very end. It's not specifically said, but anyone who can read understands what is implicated, and it's really good. After the ending, I can't wait to read the ending of Kelsea!
