Scent of White Poppies

When Bill Atholl returned to England from Guiana he seemed to be in luck. Within a short while he had taken charge of a legacy and met and married a beautiful girl.

Trouble followed. The estate that he inherited was a gaunt and isolated farm on the Yorkshire coast and with it came a legacy of violence and death. Before Bill Atholl had been there long the threat was hanging over him and his wife.

Worse even than this was the realization that his wife was in some way involved with the killers and the horrible fear that he was being used and betrayed by the woman he loved. Not until a night of wild climax, with almost certain death waiting for him, did Bill Atholl find out who were the murderers and whom he could trust.
