When research virologist Billie James is whisked away to the CDC in Atlanta
to examine a patient with a rare viral infection, it seems like the
opportunity of a lifetime. But her eccentric new boss, Remy Hunter,
knows far more about the virus than he’s willing to share, and far more
about Billie than she could ever imagine. He’s got a secret agenda, one
that Billie won’t see coming until they reach their final destination.
Since the dawn of time, the Triom virus has survived, taking root only in
those with the correct genetics to harbor it. Domitus, a clandestine
society devoted to protecting those infected, exists to protect its
people from persecution. And to protect the rest of humanity from them.
But someone is plotting the demise of Domitus, and the only way to stop
them is to enter a nest of corruption teeming with a disease that makes
Ebola look like a case of the sniffles.
