The Games Monsters Play

A novelette.

When corporate spy Colin O’Neill receives a personal invitation from his target’s CEO to join an elite high stakes game, he fears his cover blown.

But Katarina Habsburg’s interest in him is superseded by deadly intrigues with her partners and she’s forced to focus on her own survival. With his time running out, Colin must choose between finishing his mission and making his escape before the game's end in this chilling tale of industrial espionage.

The Games Monsters Play provides insight into the life of Katarina from Watcher: Book I of The Chosen, and introduces Colin, a major player in Runner: Book II of The Chosen.

Games originally appeared in Gabrielle Faust’s High Stakes: A Vampire Anthology as one of ten short stories delving into the realm of the undead and the lethal games they play with their victims — and with each other.

This 13,000 word novelette edition contains several new scenes.
