Devourer
There's a new player in the great game, and the Elders edicts hold no sway over them...
Steve and the team hold the ship but only for now. Yet the world is swiftly waking to the new reality, the vultures are circling, and keeping the ship looks to be at least as hard as taking it ever was.
Time is never on Steve's side, but the knowledge that he agreed to present himself before the only faction he's not at war with, and the Elders have no patience for delays, only add to his stress.
He's out of time, out of tricks, and patience? That's a luxury long gone. But while Steve might be running low on many things, his reservoir of brutality is far from dry. Good thing too, because one of the god-like creators has cast her ominous gaze on him now, and as far as she's concerned, he and all his kind are vermin.
What will the vermin do, when the exterminators are called?
Jez Cajiao
Jez Cajiao's journey to becoming a full-time author is as unexpected and adventurous as the stories he now tells. Born in 1980 in Hartlepool, UK, Jez’s early life didn’t follow the traditional path that one might expect for a writer. Instead, he found himself working in his family’s catering business from the age of 11, and later, trying his hand at a variety of other careers—from bar work in Greece to welding. It wasn’t until a series of health challenges forced a career shift that Jez discovered his true calling: writing.
Arise
In a world where myth bleeds into machinery, where werewolves and nanites share the same pulse, one man stands on the edge of something vast and terrible. The Arise series by Jez Cajiao begins with a single broken soldier, Steve, whose body and soul are rebuilt by forces that blur the line between science and the divine. What starts as survival quickly unravels into revelation, exposing the truth that humanity was never the apex of creation but a weapon built for someone else’s war.
Arise consists of six books — considered a complete series. The current recommended reading order for the series is provided below.
