The Como Falcon

Ali Falco #1 / 3
by Jeff Carson
The Como Falcon (Ali Falco #1) by Jeff Carson
Unrated

A shocking death along the shores of Lake Como rocks a police officer to her core, pulling her into a showdown with a past she’s been running from far too long.

Police officer Ali Falco has created a comfortable life in the beautiful Tuscan city of Siena, Italy patrolling the ancient streets. Behind the walls of the medieval town it’s easy to keep the past out of mind, but shocking news of her father’s death is impossible to ignore, forcing her to return north to her childhood home of Como, a stunning lakeside city tucked into the Italian Alps, and the site of a lot of bad memories.

She and her father were tightly bonded until the death of her mother thrust a divide between them. Hate him or not, though, something about his death doesn’t look right. In fact, it looks very wrong, and she soon finds herself caught up in a case that pulls all the demons out of the dark depths of her past, along with a few that may still be lurking around the picturesque valley she used to call home.

As questions surface, answers prove elusive. Was her father the monster she assumed? Or is there much more at play going on in those memories of hers, something as complex as it is disturbing? With the help of a local Carabinieri agent, an intriguing man with a dark past of his own, she’ll soon learn she’s risking her own life, and a potential chance at love, to find answers.

As more people die, more blood is shed to keep secrets, the ultimate question will remain: Can Ali overcome the impossible? Or will the Falco lineage end with her?

From the international multi-million copy bestselling author of the David Wolf Series comes the first book in a brand new, pulse-pounding, international mystery series. If you like thrills and mystery, action and intrigue, exotic locales mixed with a touch of romance, then The Como Falcon is perfect for you!

Jeff Carson

Jeff Carson

My name is Jeff Carson, author of the mystery-thriller David Wolf Series and Ali Falco Series. I live in Colorado with my wife and two sons. My wife is from Italy, so I've spent some time jumping back and forth between there and the states, the longest stint of our family staying in Italy together being ten months.

It was during that long stay in Italy that I had an epiphany (breakdown?) and realized I needed a change, so I started writing fiction with every intent on making a living doing it within two years. It was probably pretty interesting sounding to my wife when I told her the news, but I laid out my case, citing many success stories I'd seen online of self-published authors.

I told Cristina I would publish ten stories, and then, and only then, would I entertain the idea of giving up if it wasn't working.

So I started the David Wolf Series, diving headfirst, firing first and aiming later ... probably aiming too late. (Just take a look at the early Foreign Deceit reviews ... wait ... no don't ...) I got some bad reviews, but I fixed the stories and re-published them as needed.

Now I have 18 full length novels in two different series and one short story. And thanks to support from readers like you, it's working, so I'm going to continue until the carpal tunnel really digs in and I have to use my elbows or voice-activated typing.

I hope you like the books, and I'd love to hear what you think. Drop me a line on the contact page, leave a comment anywhere you like, email me at Jeff@JeffCarson.co, visit me on Facebook, or whatever you want to do.
