Chasing Lies

A lie leads to a dead body right on the doorstep of Special Agent Ricki James in her latest case of deceit, betrayal, and murder.

Before closing her last case, Special Agent Ricki James almost became a victim herself, so it’s a relief to get home with the only daunting task facing her is planning her wedding to Police Chief Clayton Thomas. But that all changes in the blink of an eye when a friend is murdered fifty feet from where she is sitting. And the killer manages to slip away without leaving a single eyewitness behind.

As Ricki and her team search for answers through a carefully constructed web of lies, they uncover a seven-year-old robbery that left four people dead, was never solved, and leads right back to their hometown. Now Ricki is hunting a killer, who is hiding among the people she calls friends, and is determined to keep the truth buried along with anyone who tries to bring his charade, and the reason for it, to an end.
