Conquest is also known as The Green Man.

The long, bitter winter has at last lifted from the tortured English countryside, but with the spring comes the shattering of the kingdom. The old king has died and the human wolves are gathering round his empty throne with greed in their eyes - and their armies at the ready. The ancient gods of the Cymry wait patiently, for the time is coming when a new hero will be chosen, so his blood can make the land whole once more.

The blonde witch Alison Hafwynder, last High Priestess of Avalon, and her foster-sister of mystery whose own mystical powers lie hidden deep inside, are caught up in the dangerous games of gods and men. For in this eleventh-century England, the Old Gods are making their last stand.
