Jessica A Disciacca
Jessica A. Disciacca writes the kind of fantasy that doesn’t just ask you to escape—it dares you to look deeper. Her stories often begin with a familiar glint of magic or the whisper of ancient power, but they quickly unravel into layered worlds where identity, inheritance, and choice collide. Her characters are as haunted as they are brave, caught in the quiet tension between the mortal and the eternal. And that’s exactly how she likes it.
Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Jessica grew up straddling two legacies—her Italian heritage, rich with myth and tradition, and her love for modern storytelling. That balance between old and new carries into her writing, where political intrigue and romantic tension hum beneath a surface of lush world-building. She began writing seriously at sixteen, though she would go on to earn degrees in English, Education, Fine Art, and Communications before returning to fantasy with new clarity and purpose.
Her debut fantasy series, The Dark Throne, sets its tone early: a half-human, half-elf heroine, an immortal court tangled in secrets, and a prophecy that doesn’t play fair. It’s not just another romantic fantasy saga—it’s a world built on consequence and shadow, where power always demands a price. Jessica’s writing is lyrical but never indulgent, sharp-edged but emotionally resonant, drawing readers into the lives of characters who feel both otherworldly and deeply human.
Off the page, Jessica balances her creative work with her role as a teacher, a mother of two, and a partner to a filmmaker—making storytelling a shared language in her home. In 2024, she launched Dark Flame Publishing to take full ownership of her creative path and give other writers a chance to do the same.
Jessica A. Disciacca doesn’t just build fantasy worlds—she asks what happens when those worlds start asking questions back.
