This was an enjoyable book by Bella Blair and is part of a series collaboration involving several authors called Abducted by the Ruthless Royal. I enjoyed getting to know both Alice and Zayden as well as some of the descriptions of the planet that Zayden rules. Alice's head servant Mach-Nak-Tho was also an entertaining character and I enjoyed the epilogue. I look forward to reading more from this author as well as some of the other books from this series.

Winning a crown was easy, winning a queen is where the real battle begins...
ALICE: I imagine the worst when I'm abducted by ruthless alien slave traders. So when I'm taken to a handsome alien king and he tells me he is going to make me his queen I should be thrilled, right? Somehow though he turns all my emotions into overdrive, including desire and anger. Torn between the two, I unleash first one then the other.
ZAYDEN: Find a pale blonde and make her your queen or forfeit your throne, the priests decree. But resigning is out of the question after my hard-fought battle for the throne. So, I'm forced to strike an unthinkable deal with slave traders to locate the specified female. The moment I glimpse her hologram, she consumes my thoughts. She's captivating and exotic, a species entirely new to me, and I'm eager to crown her as my queen. Unfortunately, despite our instant attraction, Alice isn't keen on my plans, forcing me to employ all my battle strategies to conquer my reluctant queen and make her MINE.
The series
Across galaxies ruled by brutal kings and dark fates, a pulse beats with something fiercer than conquest—desire. Abducted by the Ruthless Royal spins a seductive web of alien royalty, fated mates, and the unrelenting clash between freedom and fate. In each standalone installment, a fierce human heroine is stolen away—claimed not just as a captive, but as a catalyst to a ruler’s downfall...or redemption.
Read full series description
These aren’t stories of delicate diplomacy. They unfold in primal worlds where instinct and power rule, where monstrous kings possess claws, scales, or shadows—and where love isn’t sweet, but scorching, tangled in dominance, resistance, and the slow unraveling of armor both physical and emotional. From venomous Naga princes to deadly Wraith monarchs cloaked in darkness, each encounter is its own tempest—unpredictable, steamy, and charged with tension.
The series excels in blending science fiction and dark fantasy romance, leaning into the delicious danger of forbidden attraction and the gritty nuances of survival among predators. It doesn’t shy away from intensity, yet it finds unexpected tenderness in the most alien of hearts. The emotional payoff is as thrilling as the battles, and every abduction feels less like theft and more like a storm long overdue.
Perfect for readers who crave possessive anti-heroes, slow-burn tension, and immersive, high-stakes worlds, this series delivers heat, heart, and a wild ride through the stars—where surrender doesn’t mean weakness, and love is the most ruthless force of all.
