Protected by the Alien Warmachine
Talia
A cursed alien tomb on a dying planet? Sign me up! As an archaeologist, that’s a dream come true. Only this time, the curse is real, and it’s an alien male. A warrior as hot as he is deadly, entombed for thousands of years until I disturb his eternal sleep.
I don’t stand a chance. The moment our eyes meet, I know we're meant to be.
I should stay away, let more experienced people take over the first contact.
Like hell. I found him, and he’s mine to study. And if that means getting up close and very personal with the gorgeous alien warrior, it’s a price I’m more than willing to pay.
Kal’va
I should have died with the rest of my species. Instead, they left me behind to watch over their tombs. For thousands of years, my only purpose was to kill any intruders who might disturb the honored dead, and I am skilled at my task. But this latest intruder is different, her presence awakening a passion I've never felt before.
I cannot kill her.
I must claim her.
If other humans have designs on her life, I will show her how far I’ll go to protect my mate.

Leslie Chase
Leslie Chase is an author from Scotland, whose reading habit has turned into a writing one. She loves writing, and especially enjoys writing sexy romance. It lets her imagination run free and her ideas come to life! She's done a lot of things in her life, from working with the elderly to studying sword fighting to teaching tai chi. And, always, reading reading reading!
When not writing, she's busy thinking about what to write next or researching it - yes, damn it, looking at castles and swords and pictures of spaceships counts as research.
My Monster, My Protector
In a world where the things that go bump in the night don’t just lurk—they love, My Monster, My Protector offers a darkly intimate look at the bond between beast and beloved. Each book unearths a new, primal protector—creatures feared for their strength, shunned for their form, and yet drawn irresistibly to the women who refuse to flinch. These are not fairytales dressed in velvet; they’re raw, feral romances where danger is constant, and devotion runs deeper than instinct.
My Monster, My Protector consists of 9 total books. The current recommended reading order for the series is provided below.
Reviews and Comments
This was an interesting story by Leslie Chase as well as a good addition to the series of standalone books in the My Monster, My Protector series by various different authors. I enjoyed getting to know both Talia & Kal’va throughout the book and thought that the epilogue was a fun way of wrapping up the story. I look forward to reading more from this author and series in the future.I received a free advanced reader copy of this book via StoryOrigin and am voluntarily leaving a review.
