Faye and the Feline Feat: A Puss in Boots Retelling
She’s a spirited dressmaker. He’s a rule-abiding prince. When an unexpected inheritance drops into her lap, will their friendship turn into something more, or will her heart come apart at the seams?
Faye Deumater is perfectly content with her current life—her best friend has found true love, her beloved dress shop is thriving, and every once in a while, business brings the handsome Prince Niall to her doorstep. But despite how much she enjoys the challenge of breaking through Niall’s serious exterior, and the way his rare smiles make her heart flutter, Faye knows that nothing can come of their friendship. After all, he’s now her best friend’s brother…and that’s a relationship she wouldn’t jeopardize for the world.
When a death in the family suddenly catapults her to a noble status, Faye and Niall—along with her new feline charge—embark on a trip to investigate the dubious actions of the steward of Carabas. There’s only one problem: every moment of the adventure just serves to stitch Faye’s heart together with Niall’s…and she’s afraid that at the end of it all, she’ll have no choice but to cut the thread.
Faye and the Feline Feat is a companion novella to Callie and the Pumpkin Seed.

Book Reviews
This book was a really fun Retelling of Puss in Boots and I appreciated that the author added a brief summary of the original fairy tale at the beginning because this isn't a fairy tale that I was as familiar with. The characters are all really fun and I enjoyed all the different ways each character interacted with Faye's inherited cat Baldwin. This book is connected with Callie and the Pumpkin Seed: A Cinderella Retelling and all the main characters (except Baldwin) were originally introduced previously so it is more enjoyable to read them together but it could probably work as a standalone as well. I look forward to reading more fairy tale retellings by this author in the future since I have loved each one so far.
