A small-town librarian. An out of this world secret. Can the stars give her a happy ending?

Meretta Larsen is smitten. Her job at the library is safe and quiet, healing her from a painful past, until the new mystery man in town asks for her help. When his face turns up in a hundred-year-old photo, Mere’s rational mind wars with the evidence in front of her eyes.

Accepting his offer for dinner, she trusts her gut and takes a leap of faith. Their passionate night together leads to the revelation he calls another planet home.

Will Meretta help her lover escape the agents hunting him, even if it means breaking her own heart?

Emily Michel

Emily Michel read her first fairy tale before kindergarten and has been fascinated with speculative fiction of all kinds ever since. She’s traveled the world as a military family member, calling many places in the US and Europe home. She settled in Arizona a few years ago with her husband and kids.

When not writing, Emily reads, walks, crochets, and pets her feline overlords. Emily has volunteered her time to community organizations for the past twenty years and looks forward to taking a break in 2022 to concentrate on her writing and editing, which is a nice way of saying she’s tired and needs some “me time.”

★★★★★★★★☆☆ 8 / 10

This was my first book by Emily Michel and I found it to be an entertaining book set in a small town with several fun characters and an interesting plot. The epilogue at the end was nice but I might have wanted to see how things were a little further into the future for the couple.I received a free copy of this book via StoryOrigin and am voluntarily leaving a review.
