I never expected to be kidnapped by aliens. It’s never off the table, not when there are scumbags like the Skulchers whose sole purpose is to make a profit off trafficking. And Terran—human—women? We fetch a high price.

But as the twelve other captees and I escape, our stolen ship starts to fall apart. And it’s up to me to fix it. Flying through an asteroid field is dangerous as is—but flying through it while you’re on the outside of the ship? Downright terrifying.

When the ship needs to make an emergency landing on an uncharted planet, I’m forced to abandon ship. I lose consciousness as I parachute off, and when I come to? I’m no longer alone. This muscled, purple alien may be a barbarian, but he’s also got two tails and a crystal embedded into his forehead. Oh, and did I mention he can shapeshift into a wolf?

And yet despite the language barrier and anatomy differences between us, all I can think about is getting wrapped up in those purple arms…
